About
I design and build real-time media infrastructure. My focus is the part of video calling that breaks at scale: SFUs, SIP interop, transport, congestion control and forward error correction. I design and develop a commercial WebRTC SFU and work deep in libwebrtc internals, down to the RFCs.
I lead an engineering department spanning development, SRE and DevOps, and still ship code myself. Day-to-day stack: TypeScript and Go on the media-server side.
Current areas of work: WebCodecs, SVC / temporal scalability, AV1, SCReAM v2 / L4S, WebTransport.
